Our family's journey with Dr. Dinesh Zirpe began in October 2025. During our first consultation, he patiently explained my mother's condition and advised us to register for a liver transplant. From then on, we met him regularly for follow-ups, and every interaction with him gave us confidence and hope. On 13th March 2026, we received the call we had been waiting for, and my mother underwent a liver transplant on 14th March. She remained in the hospital for 17 days, and throughout this entire period Dr. Zirpe and his team guided us with remarkable calmness and clarity. A heartfelt thank you to the amazing liver transplant team at Sahyadri Hospital, Deccan. I was suffering from liver cirrhosis and had been dealing with liver-related health issues since 2021. By the end of 2024, my condition had worsened significantly. I had developed severe fluid accumulation in my abdomen, which caused a lot of pain and required frequent medical procedures every 15 days. My overall health was deteriorating, and I finally decided to proceed with allopathic treatment and registered at Sahyadri Hospital for a liver transplant. At Sahyadri, I came under the care of Dr. Dinesh Zirpe, Dr Akshay and his liver transplant team. Dr. Zirpe explained the entire transplant process to me in detail, including the benefits, risks, and required work-up tests. His positive attitude, calm nature, and reassuring words gave me immense strength during one of the most difficult phases of my life. Since a living donor was not available due to blood group compatibility issues, I had to wait for a deceased donor. This waiting period lasted almost six months. During this time, my treatment and regular follow-ups continued at Sahyadri. Even though my condition was worsening, Dr. Zirpe’s positive approach and the continuous support from the team helped me survive through this challenging period. Finally, on 3rd December, I received a call from Sahyadri informing me that a liver was available. My sister and daughter immediately admitted me to the hospital, and after the required procedures, my transplant surgery was performed the same day. The surgery lasted around 10 hours. Today, I am extremely grateful to say that my post-transplant recovery has been fabulous. Within three months, I am already back to normal life. I received excellent support from Dr. Zirpe and his entire team throughout the journey. Special thanks to Dr Zirpe and Dr Akshata for helping me through out this journey. All the doctors, nurses, brothers, and security staff at Sahyadri were extremely helpful, understanding, patient, and kind.
